Hifab has been awarded a contract with the new client Bangladesh Power Development Board, which is a government organisation responsible for planning and developing the nation’s power infrastructure. This self-financed project is about preparing a new SCADA system for an optmised utilisation of power and will cover the four Power Distribution Zones of Chattogram, Cumilla, Sylhet and Mymensingh.
Hifab’s assignment includes project management, design and implementation supervision. Hifab Oy will implement the project together with Hifab Interantional AB and local partner DevConsultants Limited. The project will start in January 2021.
Kent Strand is Managing Director of Hifab Oy and responsible Project Manager:
– The sales process in these types of projects is normally quite long. I am very pleased that we now have signed the contract after 1,5 years of proposal work and can start the project shortly. This is the third bigger development project in the power sector for Hifab in Bangladesh during a short period of time and shows that our clients still appreciate quality work as we normally are more expensive than local and regional competitors. It also shows that the different international companies in the Hifab Group are working well and successfully together.
Kent takes the opportunity to thank all the colleagues in Hifab’s Dhaka Office for good support with all practical details.
